This magnificent par 71 golf course commands a striking location above the shimmering Mediterranean Sea and has been meticulously crafted through dramatic landscape, featuring imposing weathered outcrops of limestone that offer a unique character across the course. Commenting on his vision for Elea Golf Club, Sir Nick Faldo said: “When we designed the golf course at Elea Golf Club we decided to put the emphasis on thoughtful, rather than big-hitting, golf and there are plenty of strategic riddles for the golfer to explore and unravel over all 18 holes.” The fascinating layout circulates through stands of mature carob and olive trees, while the dramatic outcrops of weathered limestone strike a contrast with the deep green of the seaside paspalum grass fairways and semi-rough. The clubhouse sits on a hill overlooking the course and the sea. There is a links feel to many of the holes with generous fairways and Arizona-style areas of wasteland. The bunkers offer a dramatic but fair challenge. This is now the must play golf course on your next golf holiday to Cyprus.
This 18 hole golf course, designed by Donald Steel, blends effortlessly into its natural surroundings. The fairways, lined with numerous fruit trees and grape vines, mostly have uphill, downhill or side hill slopes. The golf course measures 6,060m, plays to a par 72 and accommodates players of all abilities. The golf course underwent a major refurbishment program in 2006 under the guidance of Mackenzie and Ebert from the UK. All green surrounds were reshaped and re-grassed. Two new greens and two new practice greens were rebuilt. Every tee and every bunker was rebuilt. The irrigation system was completely renewed and drainage and water harvesting improved, so that more water can be safely collected and taken down to the reservoir without being wasted or damaging the course. Well worth a visit on your next golf holiday to Cyprus.
This award-winning golf course was officially opened in 2002 and was designed by the acclaimed architect, Cabell Robinson. Robinson believes Aphrodite Hills to be the perfect mix of challenging pot bunkers, manicured fairways of lush Bermuda grass and generous tiered greens. It is an 18-hole championship standard golf course, has a double ended 350m practice range, 4 target greens with bunkers, short game practise facilities, 3 academy holes, two residential professional golf instructors, a large clubhouse with a bar and restaurant and terraces overlooking the green. Visually spectacular, the course expands through indigenous olive and carob trees and is built on two plateaux separated by a dramatic ravine with outstanding views over the Mediterranean. A 130 meter gorge divides the tees at the par 3 7th hole, this spectacular hole will require all your skill and concentration if you're to make par!
This prestigious course lies in a scenic valley with beautiful natural rock formations all around & large trees. Secret Valley is an 18 hole, par 71 parkland golf course situated at the bottom of a long valley that runs down to the sea. Recently improved, it is one of the best on the island.
Opened in 1996, the Secret Valley golf course, designed by Iacovos Iacovou, nestles in a scenic valley, surrounded by grand trees which add an aura of maturity to this fairly new golf course. Mature trees and beautiful rock formations provide the backdrop to this interesting layout. The front nine is quite forgiving but you’ll need to have your ‘A’ game with you if you’re to score well on the back nine. Certainly worth playing including when you're planning your next golf holiday to Paphos or a short Golf Breaks in Cyprus.
